VET – Certificate II in Airbrushing - The course outcomes

These are the artworks that you will complete in the course.

Prior to 2010 there had never been a nationally accredited airbrush course. For Airbrush Venturi, this was a serious problem. It was clear that until the airbrush became an officially recognised trade skill, it would not be taken seriously.  Something had to be done.

So Airbrush Venturi invested tens of thousands of dollars and years of effort to break through the bureaucratic red tape and establishing the first ever VET Certificate II in Airbrushing.  While we are proud of what we have achieved, we still have much to do.

Q: What should a nationally accredited airbrush course teach? Should it teach the old slow cut stencil stylised techniques developed in the 1950′s, or should it teach high speed realist rendering techniques. The answer is obvious.

The fact that the VET Certificate II in Airbrushing teaches you how to create realist rendering is no accident . . . this is the future of airbrushing.

As you read through the information about this course you will see that we teach the hardest subject matter there is, realist portraits.  The logic is that if we can teach you the hardest image type, then everything else is going to be easy in comparison.  If you can create a portrait that is realistic, as below, then doing wildlife, cartooning, fantasy images, landscape, etc will be easy in comparison.

VBP826 (Unit 1)

40 hours of training.

VBP830 (Unit 5)
