Once a year Airbrush Venturi runs a series of 5 Day airbrush courses throughout January. These are all taught by our most senior state managers, our most experienced teachers. According to the region, there will be one, two or up to three 5 Day Courses in a row.

This will mean that you may be able to do a 10 Day or 15 Day Course.

The first two of the five units of the VET Certificate II in Airbrushing are the inner core of the method.  It takes ten days to complete Units 1 and 2.  This means that students can complete these units in one straight period and leave ten days later able to airbrush realist portraits independently at home.

To the right is a photo of a student that did a previous January Summer School course,
with two very significant artworks.

The artwork on the left if what he did prior to the course and the artwork on the right is what he did after 7 days training with Airbrush Venturi, but we should let him tell his own story . . .

My name is Guy Richards.  I’ve been a sign writer for 25 years, living in Tasmania and I like to think that I am respected for my skills and dedication to the craft.  I even hosted the 2009 Letterheads, a great honour.

I love airbrushing!!  To which, I did about 180 hours of training with a number of people who are competitors to Airbrush Venturi.  Prior to doing the Airbrush Venturi - Summer School in Jan. ‘09, I was sent the photo of Audrey Hepburn and asked to create an artwork to the best of my abilities before the course (see the artwork on the left).  The artwork on the right, closest to me, is done after ONLY 7 days training. The difference between the two is incredible and the second artwork was so simple to create, so systematic, it was a real surprise to me.

I cannot speak highly enough of the effectiveness of the intensive format of the Summer School programs, they really work.  I expected great results – quickly, and this exceeded my expectations!

I came to Airbrush Venturi specifically to learn to do realist rendering with an airbrush and to be able to do it fast. It cost me a lot of time money and effort to come over from Tasmania to do the course, not to mention lost income as well . . . but I am really pleased that I did it.

Guy Richards – Tasmania

It is rare that we get people come to class after having done so much training elsewhere. Most people are complete beginners when they come to us, so it is unusual to be able to show a “before and after” photo that is as compelling as this one.

The important point to make is that doing Units 1 and 2 together back to back in a 10 Day Course is probably the most effective way the course can be delivered.  In several locations this is the only course format that we offer, for this very reason.

If you are serious about learning to airbrush and catapult yourself from complete beginner to independent airbrush artist . . . the 10 / 15 Day Courses will give you this.

Below is a photo of another student with an artwork that he did during one of several 5 Day Courses. This is the work of yet another student that has found that the January Summer School courses worked surprisingly well for him.  Again we will let him tell the story . . .

My name is Nick Pearson.  I have no art background, but I have loved airbrushing my whole life and always wanted to learn myself.

Once I decided it was time to learn, I really “went hard”.  I have wasted a lot of years of my life and I really feel like I am playing catch up. I did the Summer School program and then went straight into the Fast Track and Advanced Courses . . . and then back to 5 Day Courses.

I have gone from total beginner to being able to create artworks like this shark in less than two years!!  This would never have been possible if I had taken the “slow road” of the night courses. I love the energy of the 5 Day Courses.  I love the momentum you build up!!

The key was the chance to do 3 x 5 Day Courses in a row, back to back.  It was an amazing experience that I still look back on as being pivotal to where I am now.

I seem to be able to really breakthrough the barriers. Knowing that you are going to class for a whole day to “do battle” is great.  Even when I visit the night courses, when people ask me, I always recommend the 5 Day Courses because they have worked so well for me.

I am still attending 5 Day Courses on and off.  Even now, I find that they still really energise my airbrushing.
